What could be more fun than creating a sticky-sweet illustration for a book about the bellies of expectant mothers? That's exactly what the wonderful Lea Friedman wanted me to do for an art book her firm was designing for Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx. My task was to illustrate a virtual ice cream sundae around the hand-painted baby bump of model Coco Rocha. And, since the book's proceeds benefited women's health in the developing world, I created a series of spot illustrations to accompany the book's prologue.
